Among a slew of stakes races at Laurel Park today on the day of the Preakness Stakes, the Track-IQ framework had an excellent result in the 9th (1 mi. on the turf for three-year-olds) with its Primary selection of #6 Turf Star at 4-1 compared to Model Odds of 5-2. Turf Star had the field best win probability for SPD at 33% (2-1 equivalent odds), an E2 win probability of 33% and WP% of 28%. In the race, #2 The Babeslayer at 5-1 led through the opening quarter and half mile. #1 My Favorite Bird at 3-1 tracked the leaders on the inside before veering to the outside coming around the far turn and then took the lead. Turf Star had stalked from the 6th position on the inside before likewise veering outside down the stretch and then accelerating to catch My Favorite Bird at the wire. Turf Star paid $10.40 for the win.

In the next race in the 10th, the $250K G3 Dinner Party Stakes at 1 1/8 mi. on the turf for three-year-olds and up, the Track-IQ framework for Laurel had the winner with its Primary selection of #4 Fort Washington at 5-2 over the heavy favorite, #3 Cruise the Nile at 2-5. Fort Washington’s class with a WP% of 50% and SPD win probability of 28% proved too strong down the stretch for Cruise the Nile, who finished third.

The Track-IQ had back-to-back winning exacta results in the 1st and 2nd races at Belmont at Aqueduct (BAQ) today. In race 1, it had the exacta order cold with its Primary and Secondary selections of #1 Factually Correct at 3-1 and #2 Nabokov at 7-1 in spite of #4 Beary Funny being the favorite at 7-5. Both exacta horses were overlays compared to their fair-value odds of 2.1-1 and 2.8-1. The $2 ex. paid $51.10.

In race 2, the Track-IQ framework had the exacta order again with #2 Niche winning at 9-2 and #4 Divine Interventions finishing 2nd at 9-2. The $2 exacta paid $49.52.
