Alpha Signal™ Delivers Back-to-Back Winners at Saratoga
Alpha Signal™ had back-to-back winning results today, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Saratoga, as the top-graded horses in Races 4 and 5 both won at attractive prices. #5 Mischievous M captured Race 4 at 5-1, returning $13.70, before #6 True Legend followed immediately in Race 5 at 4-1, paying $10.46. Both horses carried HIGH CONVICTION signals.
Race 4 — Mischievous M ($13.70)
Alpha Signal gave Mischievous M a Grade of 93, making him the top-graded horse in Race 4 despite the presence of heavily favored Gardiner. The signal was built around a particularly strong sprint profile: Mischievous M ranked #1 in E2 and #1 in SPD, while his E1 probability was also second-highest in the field. Just as importantly, the Risk Angle found his historical E1 performance to be unusually consistent, increasing confidence that his early-speed strength was repeatable.
That distinction became even more significant in the betting. Gardiner was sent off at 3/5, while Mischievous M remained 5-1. Alpha Signal therefore wasn’t simply echoing the public favorite. Its highest grade belonged to a substantially higher-priced horse whose underlying pace and speed profile provided multiple independent sources of support. Mischievous M delivered on that profile and won at 5-1.

Race 5 — True Legend ($10.46)
Alpha Signal followed immediately with another top-graded winner in True Legend, who received an even higher Grade of 96 and a HIGH CONVICTION signal. His strength was again multidimensional: SPD ranked #1, while E1 and E2 provided substantial sprint-pace support.
The commentary also illustrates an important part of the Alpha Signal process: it didn’t ignore conflicting evidence simply because True Legend received a high grade. His LP history was specifically flagged as spike-driven, meaning one exceptional historical figure was exerting too much influence on that series. Alpha Signal cautioned against relying heavily on the LP advantage while recognizing that the horse’s broader SPD, E1 and E2 profile remained strong enough to support the HIGH CONVICTION assessment. True Legend subsequently won at 4-1, returning $10.46.
Together, the two races demonstrate two different aspects of Alpha Signal. Mischievous M represented a top-graded horse offering substantial separation from an odds-on public favorite, while True Legend demonstrated how a HIGH CONVICTION profile can remain compelling even after Alpha Signal identifies and explicitly warns about a weakness within one component of the data.
