Track-IQ delivered an outstanding result in Del Mar’s ninth race, ranking #7 Privman as its Primary selection and #4 Arrowthegreat as its Secondary. Privman, trained by Bob Baffert, was bet down to 2-5—likely receiving additional public support after a Baffert-trained horse won the previous race. Track-IQ, however, assigned him more realistic Model Odds of 2.2-1. Arrowthegreat was calculated at only 3.6-1 but was dismissed by the public at 19-1. The result was emphatic: Arrowthegreat won and paid $41.60, $12.20 and $6.00, while Privman finished second and paid $3.60 and $2.80. Track-IQ’s Secondary and Primary selections produced a $157.00 exacta.

This was not a lucky longshot selection. Arrowthegreat, trained by Dan Blacker and ridden by Armando Ayuso, possessed the field’s best Late Pace rating at 60%, a strong 4-for-8 record at one mile, above-median adjusted speed, low 7% figure variability, and a 71% in-the-money record at Del Mar. The public heavily discounted him because of his extended layoff, but Track-IQ weighed that uncertainty against his finishing strength, distance ability, stability, and workout preparation. The official order was 4-7-1-6, with #6 Lyell’s Song, Track-IQ’s Tertiary selection, finishing fourth. The 50-cent trifecta paid $457.60, and the 10-cent superfecta returned an extraordinary $623.74. Track-IQ identified a 19-1 winner as a legitimate 3.6-1 contender and successfully separated the race’s best wagering opportunity from its heavily overbet favorite.
